Selling your house in a tough market is really difficult: you have to let go of some of the things you love about your home and always keep in mind that you’re trying to sell to someone else, NOT yourself.

That’s the first step, but what do you do next? We knew that we had a nice house in a popular place, but we also knew that we had lots of competition, and we wanted to make our house easy to buy.

We have used Sterling Property Services to help maintain our house: power-washing, painting and the like, and Roger always does a great job – he is the most thorough painter we’ve ever seen, and the results show it. When we decided to put the house on the market, we realized that the interior needed repainting and the colors updated, and called him again. That’s where Sandy’s help came in: she assessed all the room, found coordinated colors that emphasized the best features of the house, and suggested a number of simple things we could do to make an empty house feel like a place you’d want to live.

Roger did a fantastic job repairing and painting a ceiling that had some water stains. He also painted two large rooms and now my 30 year old house looks almost new! He is very diligent in his work and does all the necessary prep work before he even picks up a brush! He cleans up ALL his mess too!! He even removed some ugly wallpaper in my master bath and painted the walls to bring it up to standard. Since we plan on selling soon, the updated painted rooms will surely help in the sale.
